Continuing on with my fascination for old metal wool-bale stencils, I have just finished stencilling these cushions. I used a natural colour linen to print on and the backing with ripped fringe is in a reproduction ticking fabric. I made the bottom cushion for some friends who have a fine merino stud at Colebrook in Tasmania. It was great to be able to use the same stencils that they use on their wool bales many of which end up in Italy.

PREENING
Seagulls get a lot of bad press but I love them. This lot were part of a flock of about 100 all in full preening mode.

DIGIT'S ABC
" Digit's ABC"
Digit Briggs is wonderful local character. He is the ultimate aussie true-blue fix it man. Give him an elastic-band and I am sure he could get a car going!! His passion is vintage tractors and his yard is tractor graveyard heaven. I had a wonderful time hunting for the perfect letters to make this photo collage.
Digit lives just near Remarkable Cave which is shaped like a map of Tasmania (remarkable!!)
