The picture is actually from a book called Little Black Sambo. Not sure it is available in print any more because of the racial connotation, but it was a beautifully illustrated book.
yes it is from little black sambo - a book I had as a child and it was recently re - published in the last 10 yrs. W
The photo was taken in an Antique shop in Texas and it was on the box of a children's game.
